Vascularized Organotypic Systems Engineering

The Nguyen Lab develops vascularized organotypic model systems that more faithfully capture human biology than traditional in vitro or animal approaches. By integrating tissue engineering, microfluidics, and advanced cell biology, the lab builds 3D human‑relevant platforms to investigate how organ systems form, function, and fail. These models enable mechanistic discovery, disease modeling, and translational insight across vascular, hepatic, and multi‑organ contexts, providing a foundation for more predictive science and next‑generation therapeutic strategies.
